Game design document Metal Gear Solid 2 (M2)

We were tasked with looking at some design documents from a forum. Me and Adrian decided that we would evaluate Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty. We were then tasked with looking at the design documents and evaluating what we thought was good and bad about them, also if we felt that it was a professional design document.

Pro's
Firstly I liked how on some pages it referred with page numbers to previous pages, as it supported what their intentions towards the game were and can reminds the reader that the two pages are relevant to one another, it also gives them a lot more information on what they are reading.

It keeps the same text consistency of heading and then content which helps the reader guide their way down each page.

Uses clear page numbers so the reader can go through the design document in chronological order

Cons
It does not include a contents page which makes it difficult to go through and and find a particular page.

Some of the paragraphs on the page go over to the other page rather than being all on one paragraph making it look very messy and unprofessional.

It contains no pictures what so ever even thought its a sequel it could of used some of the art work from the previous game to prove their point and remind people what some things in the game are.

Conclusion
In conclusion I find that the Design document look very boring and unprofessional as it contains no pictures even thought its a sequel, its paragraphs run over the pages making the document look like a mess, and finally it does not include any kind of contents pages which is usually a convention of most design documents as it is what you usually find in most design document out there
